Biography
Christina Sherman, J.D. is dedicating her law practice, Christina T. Sherman, PLLC, to helping families grow through Adoption, IVF and Surrogacy. Christina is licensed to practice law in Washington, and has been practicing law for over 20 years. Christina represents adoptive families and birth parents both locally and in interstate adoptions in all aspects of adoption.
Christina has been honored to represent hundreds of clients in their adoption cases; and has been named an Academy Fellow in the Academy of Adoption and Assisted Reproduction Attorneys (AAAA). The Academy of Adoption and Assisted Reproduction Attorneys (AAAA) is a credentialed, non-profit organization dedicated to the competent and ethical practice of adoption and assisted reproduction law. It advocates for laws and policies to protect the best interests of children, the legal status of families formed through adoption and assisted reproduction, and the rights of all interested parties. Attorneys are awarded membership to AAAA only after a rigorous review to ensure that they meet the highest standards of ethical and legal practice in adoption.
Christina received her law degree from Cornell Law School in 2002, and clerked for a federal district court judge, Hayden W. Head, from 2002-2004. Christina has been recognized by super lawyers as one of the top 2.5% of attorneys among her peers. While described by clients as "tough" when necessary, Christina is a warm and approachable attorney you can trust through all aspects of your legal proceeding.
While most adoptions are collaborative, Christina has the skills and experience to represent you even in the most complicated and complex cases. Christina will work with you through the process that works best for your situation, including informal negotiations, mediation, collaborative law, litigation and trials.
